1960: Graduated N.Z. Drama School.   Touring Hamlet, Loves Labours Lost   3 Handed College tour on Dramatic History

1962: Accepted into prestigious London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art   Tutored by Iris Warren, Kristin Linklater, Michael MacOwen, Michel St Denis, Patricia Arnold, Brian Way and Sybil Perigal

1965: Associate Director for Harrogate and Chester Theatre Company   Film: Blind Geronimo   Tutored at The Arts Centre University of Sussex

1966: Royal Shakespeare Company New Zealand tour:   -Dromio of Syracuse in Clifford William's Comedy of Errors.   Oh What a lovely War and other sundry works   First performance of Gogol's Diary of a Madman

1967: Joined Bristol Old Vic Company:   -Ossip in Government Inpsector, Oberon in A Midsummer Night's Dream,   -Lockit in Beggars Opera, Grumio in The Taming of the Shrew   -Frost in Strife and Kutusov in War and Peace

1969: Joined National Theatre under Sir Laurence Olivier:   -Appeared in Peter Brook's Seneca Oedipus with Sir John Gielgud and Irene Worth   Sundry Film and Television performances

1970: Director of the English Speaking Theatre of Palma de Majorca:   - Breaking of Spears between Robert Graves and Camillo Jose Cela   Studied under Margarette Kraus who had been a soprano of the old Austro Hungarian Empire   And who had created some works for Richard Strauss.

1971: Assistant Director of the London Opera Society:   -Collaborated with Carlo Bergonzi, Angeles Gulin and Montserrat Caballe.   Groove Courtenay in Bruce Beresford's The Adventures of Barry Mackenzie   The Front Room Boys at the Royal Court Theatre

1972: Returned to Australia   Redheap (ABC TV)   Jim Vaux in Flash Jim Vaux for Nimrod Theatre

1973: Invited as Leading Actor for the Melbourne Theatre Company   -Inspector Bones in Jumpers   -Fluther in The Plough and the Stars   -Mad Dog in The Last of the Knucklemen

1974-75: Continued acting for MTC but took over as Leader of youth activities.   Youth activities became a prosperous enterprise for the MTC   Sundry performances in local television and commercials   Brother James in Fred Scepisi's The Devils Playground   The Podesta in Mozart's La Finta Giadiniera

1976: Returned to New Zealand   Directed The Last of the Knucklemen   Performed in The Comedians and Diary of a Madman   -Both above productions were repeated in Melbourne

1977: Joe Speight in The Mango Tree   Aragon in Merchant of Venice for MTC   Cinderella for MTC   Cop Out for MTC   Homosexual Crocodile Psychiatrist in The FoolShoe Hotel for Pram Factory   Labertouche in George Miller's Mad Max

1978: Workshopped Breaker Morant for MTC   Major Thomas in Breaker Morant for MTC   Foigard in The Beaux Strategem for MTC   Subtle in The Alchemist for MTC   -Wrote Screenplay of Breaker Morant with David Stevens

1979: Appointed to direct The Mercury theatre in New Zealand   -Styx in Orpheus in the Underworld for Victoria Opera

1984: Continued to Direct and perform in multiple productions in Australasia   Wrote Screenplay Constance   Lead in Paul Cox's Lonely Hearts

1985: Returned to Melbourne to Direct new Australian works for the MTC   Wrote and Directed Backstage (Burrows Films)   MacAdam in Wills and Burke

1986: Wrote T.V. series Porters for TVNZ   Two for MTC

1987: Appointed to direct Man from Snowy RiverII . Ill health intervened after casting.

1988-90: Major surgery and recuperation.   Teaching and Farming in Bundaberg and Brisbane.   Magistrate in The Delinquents   Mayor in Blood Moon   Wrote play Jungfrau   Father Emillio in Thorn Birds: The Missing Years Guest Lead in Rafferty's Rules

1991-96: Returned to the stage and appointed to the Goss Government Arts Advisory Board   Appointed member of the board for Film Queensland   Joined Queensland Theatre Company and appointed Vocal Coach   -Friar Lawrence in Romeo and Juliet   -Danforth in The Crucible   -Grandfather in And a Nightingale Sang   -Sir Toby Belch in Twelfth Night   -Grandad in Hotel Sorrento   -Innkeeper in Beaux Strategem   -Baron Schon in Shadow and Splendour   -Father Dolan in The Shaughraun   -Reverend McIntyre in Mr. Reliable   T.V appearances during this period include: Mission Impossible, Animal Park, Mission Top Secret, Fire 2, His Masters Ghost, The Flying Doctors, Pacific Drive, Skippy, Butterfly Island and A Country Practice.

2002: the Man in Edward Albee's "The Play about the Baby" in New Zealand   Attended first trade convention in New Zealand with Wayne Pygram, Lani Tupu, Claudia Black, Tuvok and the innards of Chewbacca   Currently filming the part of the Great Orlando in the new Heath Ledger film, "Ned Kelly"   Rygel in Farscape continues   **Will be performing Jaggers in "Great Expections" for the Melbourne Theatre Company and Sydney Theatre Company later this year.
