*How dare that abomination put me here! He won’t get away with it! Doesn’t he know who I am? Doesn’t he realize my importance? I’ll see to it he never…..* “Nooo” *How did he get my father? What’s happening to me? I told him it is my father, why won’t they turn it off? He cannot find out, he cannot learn! How does he know I am hiding something, I will deny it!* “I do not know anything!” *How did he do that? How can he see my memories? How could he see me killing Teeg? What’s that noise? Why are they leaving me here? The chair is off. I feel dead. Where did they go? I am trapped! What are those noises? Who is that? The voice is familiar. Why does she not face me? How does she know me?* “Aeryn …. Sun” *How did she get here? Why won’t she release me? I’ll remind her of her blood oath! It means nothing to her! She owes me. I will order her, I’m her commanding officer, she must obey me. She is not obeying. I will kill her, she has made a mortal enemy!* “I will track you down and kill you, Officer Sun. On that, I give you my vow.”

“You know what I give you, Crais? Your life. I will make you watch...your life.” Aeryn engaged the Aurora chair and left.

“AAAAAUUUUUGGGGGHHHHH” *I cannot go through this again. Where is everyone, why am I alone? Father, please! Tauvo, no! I cannot see it again. Yes father, I will protect him. How can I protect him? How do I protect myself? Will I never see my father again? Tauvo makes friends easily, even among the bred Peace Keepers. I will rise through the ranks, I will do what ever it takes. I will command a carrier. I will protect Tauvo. I will ….. A leviathan? I earned a command carrier!! A leviathan? A prison ship? This is humiliating! A special project? Breed a gun ship from the Leviathan? How? Replace her Pilot? How? The scientist Velorek will take care of it? The new Pilot is here. Kill the pilot. Velorek must install this pilot in sixty arns. No time to waste. Velorek is insubordinate. How dare he question me. … What? Tauvo is dead? He cannot be! I failed father. He will be avenged! I swear!* “AAAAAUUUUUGGGGGHHHHH”

“Sir, the chair is still active. I’m sure I shut it down.” Neim shut the chair down as she spoke.

“Is he dead?” Scorpius asked.

“No, just unconscious.” Neim said.

“Good, put him in a cell, I have a use for Crais.” Scorpius said.

*Where am I? The light is so bright. What is happening to me? Why do I keep thinking of my father? Tauvo? The Chair! What did Crichton do? I will kill him! Where am I? It stinks in here. Where is here? What is that noise?*

A heavy metal door opened. Crais saw he was in a prison cell, two guards, their pistols drawn, were just inside the doorway. “You, get up! Come with us.” One of the guards said as he came menacingly at Crais.

Crais staggered to his feet. *I need to think. Scorpius must have summoned me. He must know Crichton lied to him. How did he do it? Father forgive me.*

“Move!” The guard shoved Crais forward roughly.

“Crais, you will cooperate? Good. You will find Crichton and bring him here, alive. You will not harm him.” Scorpius said.

*He knows I have sworn to kill him, to avenge Tauvo’s death. He is giving me what I most desire? I will have my revenge!* Crais thought.

“You will not disobey me, Crichton must be kept safe. Once I’m through with Crichton, you may have him and do anything you want. Disobey me and your last thoughts will be in that chair. Complete the mission and I will reinstate you and you will have a new command.” Scorpius switched from benign to menacing to keep an already dispirited Crais off balance. “Do you understand?”

Crais nodded in disbelief. He followed them out to his ship.
